Key Project Milestones

2009
Autumn – Seek funds to undertake design development work

2010
Winter – Development design work undertaken and funding sought for the building phase of the development project to take place.
Spring – Project goes to seek planning permission.
Summer – Application deadlines from the major public funders to assist with the building phase of the development project.

2011
Winter – Funding decisions received from the major public funders
Early Summer – Funding decsions received from trusts and foundations and the remainder of the major public funders
Late Autumn – Museum closes and the collection is moved to a temporary home to allow project to begin

2012
Winter – Construction work begins.
Summer – Project complete and the Museum re-opens to the public
