Highland Visitor Attraction

 The Highlanders Museum (Queen’s Own Highlanders Collection) Board requires a Director too run an independent, Highland Heritage Centre – The Museum houses the collection of The Queen’s Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) based in Fort George, Inverness.

The successful candidate should have excellent leadership and management skills,

a proven track record of income generation, strategic planning, marketing, PR, communication and IT skills.

Experience of volunteer management is highly desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build on, develop and maintain the Museum’s existing 5 * Visitor Attraction Status.

Following significant investment, the Museum is equipped with first class facilities and plays an important role, with its partners in the heritage and tourism sector of the Highlands and North of Scotland.

Reporting to the Museum Board, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Museum’s services, policies and programming, with oversight of its trading company and brand development. An exciting opportunity to make a significant mark in the Museum and visitor attraction world.

Salary; Commensurate with experience. Circa £30,000 per annum
