In 1994 the Queen’s Own Highlanders were amalgamated with the Gordon Highlanders to form The Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordon’s and Camerons). The new regiment served in Northern Ireland, the Balkans and Iraq with the same professionalism as the antecendent regiments. In 2006 it became the 4th Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Since then it has continued the tradition of its distinguished forbears, serving with pride in Afghanistan from its base in Germany. With restructuring of the Army they are due to return to Catterick in North Yorkshire in the near future.

We hope you have enjoyed your visit and experienced some of our glorious Highland Heritage.
