The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, The Battle of Loos and Lt-Col A.F. Hamilton VC

In the entrance hall to The Highlanders Museum, there is a large oil painting by Joseph Gray depicting The 6th Bn, The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders at The Battle of Loos, exactly 101 years ago today.
At the forefront of the painting is Lt-Col A.F Douglas-Hamilton, who was a VC winner. He can be seen with his left arm outstretched in the painting.

His VC and other medals are on display in The Cameron Highlanders room.
